In Italy, Civil weddings and civil partnerships must be necessary performed in a Town Hall which might be a beautiful historical buildings, an elegant palazzo decorated with beautiful tapestries or in scenic Castle, like in Malcesine and Torri del Benaco.
The ceremony lasts approximately twenty minutes and it is performed in Italian either by the city mayor or by one of his/her civil officers.
The ceremony include the reading of the fundamental civil codes articles, the reading of the wedding act and their simultaneous translation into a language you understand, by our interpreter. At the end of the ceremony there is the exchange of the rings.
You can personalize it with your own vows, preferred music or flower decoration, to make it reflecting your own style.
In Italy 2 witnesses are still required to sign the paperwork at the end of the wedding.
After the ceremony you will receive an International Marriage Certificate, which is recognized in every EU-country.
In some location it is required to sign a sworn statement a day or two prior to the wedding.
And finally...we go to celebrate together!!
